Tai Chi for Health & Falls Prevention

Tai-Chi

Tai Chi

The health benefits of Tai Chi have been known to the Chinese for hundreds of years.

Now Gympie residents can also practice the gentle movements of Tai Chi to improve movement and to have fun as well. CHSN has a range of Tai Chi groups aimed at promoting healthy exercise and prevention of falls. Tai Chi increases confidence and improves balance, builds muscle strength, bone mass and joint mobility, helping to prevent falls. It also aids relaxation, coordination and visualisation.

Tai Chi for Health and Falls Prevention consists of a beginners group and a maintenance group that meet every Wednesday morning at a local hall. Groups take place in a friendly atmosphere of support and social interaction enjoyed by all.

How does CHSN assist the community?

“The Cooloola Human Services Network provides our service with access to a collective "voice" in the human services sector. CHSN also links us in with training, resources and a shared knowledge and support that is invaluable.”
